On my way to an appointment I stopped in to burn some time and look at
the Volkswagens line. I had no intention to purchase that day because I
knew I was too far upside down on my vehicle and I did not have much
for a down payment. A sales associate by the name of Miguel greeted
me. I told him I was just looking and he asked me what I was looking
for. I told him my situation. He showed me some new 2014 Jettas with
rebates. He asked me what color did I like the best. After we spoke
briefly he asked would I mind if they ran a credit report. I said,
“No, I do not mind.” I did not mind because I knew they were going to
say the same thing all other dealerships said. So I went in the office
and filled out the information, he introduced me to his finance
person. His name was David, very kind gentleman. We sat down and
spoke for a short period and he said let me go back here and see what I
can do. Meanwhile I had to leave to make it to my Dental appointment.
Miguel suggest to me that I could take the Volkswagen that I would like
to see how it drives and what not. I told Miguel, “No, I’d rather take
my car.” I did not tell him why, but it was because I knew that I was
not going to be getting that car that day so I’d rather go to my
appointment and wait on their call, if they called. I ran a few
errands before my appointment and had to visit my Aunt. While I was
sitting talking to my Aunt which was less than an hour after I left the
dealership, David (Finance Man) called me and told me to come on back
we got good news for you. In my mind, I was like yeah right; what kind
of nonsense is this going to be. So I went back after my dental
appointment. I was approved to get the car I wanted and more
importantly needed. I could not believe it, I was in disbelief
seriously. My emotions were so mixed and I kept waiting for someone to
come back and tell me something different or start the haggling. NO
haggling, just kindness the whole way through this process.
I had visited many dealerships prior going to Lunde’s Volkswagen that
were asking for payments the amount of a mortgage or down payments that
would take me a year to save up. The payments were not extremely higher
than what I was paying for a 2008, instead I had a sparkly brand new
car with a tank full of gas parked right next to the door where I could
just walk out and get into and leave. After signing the finance paper
work and going over car details of most features in car. I left that
day with a new car, my first new car I ever brought. I am so happy!
.
The sales associate Miguel was not pushy, forceful or rude. The both
gentlemen in the finance department David and his son were great! They
were all gentlemen and this was the first time I had a nice experience
buying a car.
I still can’t believe I have a new car. CHARLENE G
